How we got here

A hobby becomes a collection. Every specimen at Madera Palms has been hand-picked by "Papa Fred", our very own International Palm Collector of Mystery. Through his travels over the last several decades, his knowledge and passion for anything that grows in the ground has led to an extensive and surprising assortment of beautiful and hardy plant species.

The result is what makes Madera Palms so unique – we offer many different varieties of palms and plants that come from all over the world. The species that thrived in our grove are uniquely suited for the Southern California climate. With over 17 acres in production, we are truly family growers – our pastime has always been planting, cultivating, harvesting and sharing our treasured plants with friends and family. Now we are ready to share them with you.
